     Will of Patrick Gavin

   Know all men by the presents that I Patrick Gavin of
Mount Pleasant, Henry County State of Iowa Realising that
I am an old man and life uncertain and being of Sound Mind
wish to make this my last will and testament. First after
all my just debts Funeral expenses and doctors bill are
paid. I have deposited in the Henry County Savings Bank
in the form of certificates bearing interest the amount
of fourteen hundred hundred dollars which I want my grand
child - Joseph Schieber who is now eleven years old who 
is a son of my deceased daughter Unice Gavin Schieber and
I want said money left in said bank and not to be paid any
part of said money or interest until he arrives at the age
of twenty one years old.
    If said Joseph Schieber should die before arriving at
the age of twenty one years I wish this money given to my
son John W. Gavins children when they become of legal age
in eaqual share and share alike. All that ballance of my 
property of whatever kind I wish to give to my son John
W. Gavin and whom I wish to administer on my estate with
out requiring him to give bond.
                    This will was written and signed this
 6th day of March 1906 in the presence of the under signed
witnesses.                        Patrick Gavin

 I Edd De Garno clerk of the District Court of said County
do hereby certify that the forgoing instrument purporting
to be the last Will and Testament of Patrick Gavin deceased,
was duly proven before the District Court of Henry County,
aforesaid, at its regular February Term A. D. 1907 and by
said Court this day allowed and admitted to record and 
established and declared to be the last Will and Testament
of Patrick Gavin deceased, and ordered to be certified and
recorded as such last Will and Testament. 
                  Witness my hand and Seal of said Court
 affixed at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa this 4th day of March 1907
