Family research as of July 2012
William Condon was born abt 1810 at Ireland.  He emigrated to Wisconsin, 
probably in the late 1840's or early 1850's.

William married Bridget Dargan on September 9, 1859 at Dodge, Wisconsin. 
(Bridget Dargan was born March 13, 1830 to John Edward Dargan and Catherine 
Brady and died November 13, 1914 at Northport, Stevens, Washington.) 

William and Bridget Condon had 5 children: 
1. James Condon (born July 1860 at Columbus, Columbia, Wisconsin);

2. Mary Condon (born 1862 at Columbus, Wisconsin, married Francis W Swartz July 
7, 1883 at Riceville, Mitchell, Iowa, died February 27, 1898 at Spokane, 
Washington);

3. Kathryn E Condon(born September 26, 1863 Columbus, Wisconsin, married Arthur 
Willsley Lawson January 1885 at Jamestown, Howard, IA, died September 24, 1930 
Alberta, Canada);

4. John Condon (born between 1865/67 Columbus, Wisconsin, died June 21, 1926 
Spokane, Washington) and 

5. Margaret Cecelia Condon (born abt 1871 Minnesota, died March 24, 1960 
Spokane, Washington. 

William Condon died 1885 at Jamestown, Howard, Iowa and is probably buried at a 
cemetery near Riceville or Jamestown, Iowa.

Family found in the 1860 census living at Columbia, Columbus, Wisconsin: Wm 
Pengden 50, Bridget Pengden 30, James Pengden 1/12. (All surnames should be 
Condon). 

Family found in the 1870 census living at Jamestown, Howard, IA: William Condon 
60, Bridget Condon 40, James Condon 19 (error, should be 9), Mary Condon 7, 
Kate Condon 6, John Condon 5. Says William was born 1810, has $900 in real 
estate and $200 in personal value. 

Found in the 1880 and 1885 censuses living at Chester, Howard, IA; Farmer: 
1880: William Condon 60, Bridget Condon 45, James Condon 19, Mary Condon 17, 
Kattie Condon 15, John Condon 13, Maggie Condon 9. 
1885: William Condon 65, Bridget Condon 55, James Condon 24, Maggie Condon 14. 

William Condon is probably buried around Riceville, Mitchell, Iowa or 
Jamestown, Howard, Iowa.

Additional Comments:
After William's death, most of his family moved to Spokane, Washington. 
Information about them can be found at "Find a Grave" for Fairmount Cemetery, 
Spokane, Washington.
