Matthew A. Kollbaum

IDA GROVE, Iowa - Matthew August Kollbaum, 93, of Ida Grove died Thursday, 
Jan. 21, 1999.

Mr. Kollbaum was born Nov. 18, 1905, near Battle Creek, Iowa, the son of Henry 
and Anna Kollbaum. He married Melinda Hein on Dec. 9, 1931.  She died in 1974. 

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands; two sons and their wives; 
15 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a stepgreat-
grandchild; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Ernest Fick of 
Sergeant Bluff and Louis Sands of Correctionville, Iowa; and many nieces and 
nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry and Walter; and two sisters, 
Ella Fick and Elnora Sands.
