	HOLSTEIN, Iowa – Ransom Charles Leonard, 83, of Holstein died Friday, 
Aug. 28, 1998, at a Sioux City hospital.
	 
	Mr. Leonard was born Aug. 12, 1915, in Holstein, the son of Hiram J. 
and Christina (Schroeder) Leonard.  	He married Evelyn Jensen on Nov. 10, 
1946, in Ida Grove, Iowa.  
	.
	Survivors include his wife; four sons and their wives, three daughters 
and their husbands, 20 grandchildren; three brothers and their wives.
	He was preceded in death by three brothers, Arnold, Abraham and 
Jessie; and a sister, Viola Sinns.
