Edna M. Newell
ANTHON, Iowa - Edna Mae Newell, 94, of Anthon died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 1997, at a 
Sioux City hospital.

Mrs. Newell was born Aug. 24, 1903, in Anthon, the daughter of Bert and 
Florence (Dice) Dicus. 

She married Otto R. Newell on Nov. 15, 1922.   He died Feb. 29, 1976. 

Survivors include two grandsons; a granddaughter of Sublette, Kan.; five great-
grandchildren; a daughter-in-law of Correctionville; and a sister, Wilma 
Hayworth of Kingsley, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by a son, Edwin; two sisters, Viola Short and 
Berniece Dicus; and a brother, Ival Dicus.
