Harry was born February 20, 1859, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Graves of Millrock. He has spent his entire life in Jackson County, and was a resident of Baldwin 41 years. The last few years he has spent with his son on a farm south of Baldwin. At the age of 23 he was married to Jessie Mannely at Maquoketa, on May 31, 1873. Mrs. Graves died February 24, 1929. He is the father of six children, namely: Mrs. Nellie Stanton and Mary Fayram of Monmouth, Mrs. Jessie Werden, Charlie and Floyd Graves of Baldwin and Wilbur, deceased.
