Mr. McKegan does not know exactly how old he is. He thinks he was not less than ten years old at the time of the the Irish rebellion in 1798, many of the events of which he well remembers. Figuring from this data he is now 95 years old. He came from Ireland to this country 36 years ago. Mr. McKegan is still an active, well-preserved old man, and still works almost every day on his farm. He bids fair to reach the hundredth year of his age.
