Thursday, 25 May 1911 in Cedar Valley, Iowa d. Friday, 6 May 1994 in Sabula, Iowa Burried: Monday, 9 May 1994 Evergreen Cemetery, Sabula, Iowa Parents, Samuel Arthur and Anna Mae (Spencer) Metz. He graduated from Riceville High School in Riceville, Iowa. Floyd served in the United States Navy during WW11. He married Florence Alice Rubendall, Schultz on October 23, 1937. Florence died on January 29, 1976. Floyd married Virginia (Baker) Ozborn on November 23, 1976. Floyd worked at the Savanna Ordianance Depot as a mechanic for a few years before he became owner of Phillips 66 Gas Station in Sabula, where he worked as a mechanic until he sold the business in 1970. Floyd was a member of the Sabula United Methodist Church, the Sabula American Legion Mississippi Post #74, and a life member of the Civilian Conservation Corp. Floyd enjoyed automotive swap meets, working on and sponsoring stock cars.
