There was a large gathering of people and the ceremonies were conducted by twelve priests besides Archbishop Hennesey of Dubuque. The edifice is constructed of brick, 108 feet long and 44 feet in width. The steeple is to be 108 feet high and when completed it will be a very large and handsome structure. Note: Holy Rosary Catholic Church was closed and sold and the sacramental records were transferred to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa.
