H. A. Crawford- The Rev. Herman A. Crawford, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Maquoketa, the past two years, presented his resignation at the close of the morning service Sunday. He has accepted the pastorate at Storm Lake and with his family, will move there the latter part of May. Members of the Board of Deacons accepted the resignation with expressed regret, stating that the church had benefited greatly from his service and has made much progress during his two years here. The Rev. Mr. Crawford has been prominent in civic affairs and Boy Scout work. Mrs. Crawford has been a leader in the Sunday School and women’s department and has filled the pulpit on several occasions.
