Jackson Sentinel, Maquoketa, Iowa, November 6, 1873 

Father John B. Gaffney, of Otter Creek, was in town yesterday, looking after 
the new church which he is building here. The walls are now up to the tops of 
the windows, and a few days more we will see it enclosed. Subscribers will be 
called upon next week for the first two installments, and it is hoped they 
will promptly respond.
