It is a large and wealthy parish and is under charge of Rev. W. Knapstein, a talented and liberal minded German priest. The church is quite a large one and the altar and interior decorates are very beautiful and the exterior is now undergoing a course of repairs. Last Sunday occurred the celebration of the feast of the rosary and the Rev. Knapstein delivered an interesting sermon in English with the Lord’s prayer as the subject of his text. The singing is entirely by male voices, the choir being composed of eight gentlemen, and for volume, time and harmony is seldom surpassed.
