Boardman left $1000 for the education of Robert A. Millikan. Millikan was the recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1923. Additional Comments: This is a Receipt for a bequest in the Will of William C. Boardman, who died April 28, 1884. Boardman left $1000 for the education of his minister's son, Robert A. Millikan. Millikan went on to be a world famous physicist and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1923.
