The Schaper farm near LaMotte was sold at Referee’s sale in this city last 
Saturday. There were several bidders, the place of 240 acres, finally going to 
Henry Reichwein, Sr., who bid $48.00 per acre of $11, 520. It is said he got a 
bargain.
