Deed from Thomas Wood and Sophia Wood, his wife to Iowa Midland Railway 
Company- 

Deed dated April 12, 1871, Filed May 2, 1873 in Book 34, Page 220, Office of 
the Recorder, Jackson County, Iowa, consideration $300.00. 

Conveys: A strip of land for right of way over and across the South half of 
the Southwest Quarter of Section 19, Township Eighty four North, Range 2, East 
of the Fifth P.M., being fifty feet in width on each side of the center line 
and an additional width not to exceed fifty feet in width on either side as 
said company may choose at the same rate per acre if necessary for the 
construction of a double track for two rods. 
(The Midland tracks above described were located south of Iowa Highway 64)
