Jones, Cedar Rapids resident and one of three remaining soldiers who fought rebellious Indians after the Civil War, died Monday. Jones, 94, who was born in Iron Hill, Jackson County, Iowa, lived in Cedar Rapids for the last 50 years where he was a motel manager. Services are pending at the Hesser Chapel, Cedar Rapids. He is survived by his wife, Fleta and a step-son, Charles W. Burton, Davenport, Iowa.
