Pvt. Nick Medinger Killed in France

Announcement of the death of another one of our Bellevue boys reached here 
Sunday afternoon when Michael Medinger received a telegram from Washington, D. 
C., stating that his son, Private Nick Medinger, died on October 21, 1918, 
from wounds he suffered in action. Mr. Medinger had not any word from Nick for 
over five weeks, but a week ago Friday received a letter from France, written 
by a Sister in the hospital where Private Medinger was being cared for, which 
stated he had been seriously gassed and was in serious condition, but was 
being given every care and attention.-Bellevue Herald
