He said that he had been reported dead three different times and came back to contradict the statements. He spent a few days with his mother and sister in Davenport and said that he would not feel just right in giving his old hometown the go-by. Charlie is sure some globe trotter and has served both in the Army and Navy during the world war. He sails from New York Thursday from France, his boat going back after another load of soldier boys, this being his seventh trip across on a similar mission.
