Will Tompkins Killed in France

The sad news was received last week by Mr. and Mrs. Coleman Tompkins of Van 
Buren township that their son Will was killed in France on November 9, just 
two days before the Armistice was signed. The news was not only a shock to the 
family of the young man, but to the entire community as well. Thus is another 
name added to the honor roll from Jackson county of those who made the supreme 
sacrifice for the good of democracy and humanity.
