Marco Gurius Wounded In Bombing of Kiska Island. BELLEVUE- Second Lieut. Marco Gurius, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Gurius of this city, who was wounded December 30, 1942, in a low altitude bombing attack against the Japanese installation on Kiska Island in the Aleutians, has been awarded the purple heart on Friday. Lieut. David L. McNarney of Webster City, Iowa, was also awarded a Purple Heart. The awards were presented by Major General William O. Butler, commander of the 11th Air Force.
