Bellevue Soldier Buried In Belgium

BELLEVUE- Mr. and Mrs. Nick Heiar have received a letter that their son was 
given a Catholic burial in an American cemetery somewhere in Belgium. The 
letter was sent by Chaplain Bruno Leuchinger.

The Purple Heart, awarded posthumously to the late Richard Heiar, was received 
also by his parents. Pvt. Heiar was a member of General Patton’s Fourth 
Division when killed in action September 28, 1944.
