SGT SCHULTE MISSING IN ACTION Stationed in South Pacific Area BELLEVUE- Technical Sergeant Alvin J. Schulte, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schulte, is missing in action since June 11, 1943, according to word received Saturday afternoon by his parents. Sgt. Schulte, a radio man in the Air Corps, was in action in the Pacific area. Before going into service in August of 1942 he was employed in Dubuque. He took his basic training at Jefferson Barracks and then served at an Army base in Salt Lake City. In December of that year he completed a course at the Washington state college aerial and radio gunnery school and received his wings. He spent a furlough here in April and shortly after left from the west coast for the war zone. He is a graduate of St. Joseph's high school.
