Young Lange was engaged in shooting birds near the house, his sister and mother watching him from the stoop, and the accident is supposed to be the result of a glancing shot, as the young man is positive his aim was not in the direction of the house. The ball struck the girl in the center of the forehead passed beneath the scalp and around the skull about two inches, where it was found, flattened to the thickness of a nickel. Dr. Amos was called, who succeeded in removing the bullet and in a few hours the young lady was as blithe as though nothing had happened.
