F. Stone, editor and proprietor. The initial number will be issued next Saturday. As its name indicates, the new paper will be independent in political matters, and at first will be of very modest dimensions. Mr. Stowe, the proprietor, has been recently been publishing a small democratic paper in Baxter Springs, Kansas, from whence he brings his material. Although the prospects ahead of another new paper in this county are not overly optimistic, yet we sincerely wish Mr. Stowe and his enterprise every success. And the way to make it a success is for every man in that town to subscribe and pay for fifty copies each, except old man Baldwin, and he should take about five hundred copies.
