Attorney D. A. Fletcher, of Maquoketa, is a candidate for District Judge. We fear the gentleman aims too high. He might do for a Justice of the Peace.-Bellevue Leader Well may Mr. Fletcher cry out, “save me from my friends.” This ramshackle sheet flaunts at its head “official paper of city and county,” and is the recognized organ of the Republican Party of this county. The Leader is opposed to Price or any other good Republican. It supports anything anti-Catholic that will contribute a nickel to keep it from utter starvation and suspension.
