Mrs. Michael received the honor of being elected and installed as State Patriotic Instructor. Mrs. Rose Koon, president of the local Woman's Relief Corps, Mrs. Edna Cox, Mrs Anna Dallager and Mrs. Grace Hanson also attended the convention. Nellie Nims and Mrs. Hallie Becker were present for part of the convention. A parade was held on Wednesday which included G. A. R. comrades riding in automobiles. Thirty comrades were registered for the convention, the oldest being 97 years and the youngest 87 years of age. The oldest comrade in Iowa, William Grange of Charles City, who is 100 was unable to be present.
