Nothing more impressively reminds us of the growth and prosperity of Iowa than the increase of newspapers; for without a population sufficiently large, liberal and enlightened, so many papers as are now published in this state would not be sustained. The Sentinel is published in the midst of just such a population as sustain newspapers. We may, therefore, safely bespeak for it a liberal patronage. The price of the paper is $1.50 a year in advance. Advertisements are published at liberal rates.
