Mat Hunter Sentenced to Life in Prison

Mat Hunter of Mt. Ayr, son of Dr. F. Hunter, formerly of Bellevue, was 
sentenced to the penitentiary for life last Friday by Judge Parish for the 
murder of Homer Holland, while engaged in a card game for money. The judge 
lectured Hunter severely and told him his crime was cool and deliberate and 
was without extenuation.
