The boys had gone to the Wright home, after spending a happy afternoon hunting at Hurstville, and as in similar accidents, which have occurred, the gun was supposedly empty of all shells. Eugene had the gun in his hands and thinking it was empty, pulled the trigger, but great was his surprise and regret-the was one 32 bullet left and it penetrated the left limb lodging in the thigh of the right limb. The injured lad was taken to Dubuque Sunday by his father and Dr. L. B. Carson and an x-ray picture taken. The bullet was located and it is thought that no vital organs were pierced by the bullet. Max has many friends in this city who greatly regret his misfortune but hope that he may soon be much improved.
