Last Sunday afternoon as Fortis Current and family were seated at their dinner table in their home across Mill Creek south of town, a bullet came crashing through the glass door, striking Mrs. Current and passed through the flesh of her chin and imbedded itself in a door on the opposite side of the room. It was found that the shot was fired by one of a group of young boys who were frolicking along the creek nearby. When questioned the lads claimed that the gun was accidentally discharged, and inasmuch as the wound received by Mrs. Current was nothing serious, no arrests were made, but it should serve as a warning to parents that a careless boy and a gun are incompatible and the combination is highly dangerous.
