They they proceeded to blow open the safe and took the very few dollars that it happened to contain. They also rummaged the show cases and scoured a number of pearl handled pocket knives, several revolvers and other articles and departed. When the proprietors opened the store in the morning they found poor Doyle in a helpless and frightened condition as the burglars had left him. Sheriff Shrigley was notified of the affair and a description given of the men. He wired Sheriff McCann of Dubuque, but no arrests have yet been made.
