When the report reached Bellevue it was supposed that both parties would be dead before the sun rose again, but fortunately for them the wounds are not serious and both will recover. The men met at LaMotte last Thursday in Hingtgen’s store and it is said that Wagner immediately assaulted Webber and knocked him down several times before he drew his gun in defense. However this may be, will be fully developed no doubt by the county attorney who we understand will investigate the case. Webber returned to his home south of Bellevue Thursday, after having his wounds dressed by a LaMotte physician. -Bellevue Herald.
