DEATH OF MRS. MARY AHERN

Mrs. Mary Ahern died at her home in Garry Owen last Friday, June 4th.
Mrs. Ahern is the fifth member of her family circle to be called by death
during the past six months. Her husband, Daniel Ahern, died November 21, 1925, 
her brother Tim Donovan April 13th, her sister-in-law, Mrs. Patrick C. 
Donovan, on May 22, followed by the passing of her brother, Patrick C. 
Donovan, two days later. Mrs. Ahern, whose maiden name
was Mary Donovan, was born in Garry Owen, Jackson county, Iowa,April 15, 1849. 
She is survived by three sons, Jerry, Dennis and Patrick and one sister, Mrs. 
Jean Sullivan, of Dubuque.

The funeral was held June 9th, at St. Patrick's church, Garry Owen,
Rev. D. P. Mulcahy officiating. The pallbearers were Patrick and James 
Donovan, Neal Donovan,  M. Crowley, Dan Crowley, Joe Donovan,
Jas. McDonnell and Connie Sullivan.
