Mr. Black and M. D. McCarthy came to Zwingle last Monday morning shortly after their arrival in town Mr. Black was taken suddenly ill and compelled to retire for awhile. He became a little better and returned to his home and was again seized with hemorrhage of the stomach and sank rapidly until his death Wednesday evening. Those from here who attended his funeral Sunday were Messers Jake and Bert Kemerer and wife, Jas. Simpson and wife, C. M. Slattery and sister, Miss Mamie Slattery, Mrs. Frank Slattery and Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Biggens, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Hixon and Mr. and Mrs. Louie Hoerner.
