Last evening the news reached this city of the death of our old and esteemed 
citizen, Hugh Campbell. His son John received  a dispatch from Arkansas Hot 
Springs from Leroy J. Brown yesterday morning, stating  that Mr. Campbell was 
very sick, and another in the evening of his death. John took the train last 
evening to go and bring his remains to this city.
