Miss Cox was born Sept. 6, 1893, in Jackson county. She was educated at St. Raphael's School and St. Joseph's Academy, Dubuque, Later she engaged in teaching school in the vicinity of St. Joseph's which position together with her amicable disposition and untiring efforts won for her many friends who lament her early calling. Two months previous to her death she submitted to an operation from which she never fully rallied. A complication of diseases set in which resulted in her death. All that human aid could do was done to alleviate her suffering, but in vain. She died fortified by the rites of the Holy Catholic Church of which she was a faithful member. Besides her bereaved parents she leaves to mourn her loss four brothers and four sisters: Joseph, of Bernard; Thomas of Galena,Il.; Christopber, of Seneca, S. D., Delia, of Cascade, and James, Johanna, Catherine and Teresa at home. The funeral was held Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock at the Monastery and burial was made at Garry Owen. Rev.
