He was a bright promising young man and was just stepping across tho threshhold of early manhood when attacked by that insiduous disease, consumption. The best medical aid and change of climate were ineffectual to stay its ravages, and after a brief illness the bright prospects of this world and life were closed to him forever. He was a son of our old friend, the late William Curoe of Prairie Creek, and like his father was an honorable man, universally respected by his neighbors. The funeral took place at St. Patrick's Church, Garry Owen on Saturday morning and was very largely attended. Rev. J . Kelly, assisted by Rev. Roche of Cascade, and Rev. O'Farrell of Temple Hill officiating.
