    MICHAEL DONOVAN

    Michael Donovan, a well known Garry Owen farmer, died at Finley Hospital in
Dubuque last Sunday after a brief illness. Mr. Donovan was a son of the late
Patrick and Mary Donovan and was born in Garry Owen in 1869. He spent most of
his life on the farm.

    He is survived by one brother, Frank Donovan of Toledo, Ohio; and four
sisters, Mrs. T. C. Phillips, Mrs. John Burke and Mrs. Joseph Burke, of Dubuque
and Mrs. D. B. Dominy of Cascade.

    The funeral services were held at St. Patrick's church, Garry Owen, Tuesday
morning at 9 o'clock. Rev. J. P. Connell read the requiem mass and the services
at the graveside in the adjoining cemetery, where the body was laid to rest
beside the parents.
