After a lingering illness, Elizabeth Driscoll passed away at her home in Garry 
Owen at two o'clock Thursday afternoon, August 16th, at the age of 56 years. 
She was a daughter of the late James and Bridget Cassady Brady. She leaves to 
mourn her death her devoted husband Daniel, four sons, Albert, Leo, Eldon, and 
Wilfred, and step-son Walter, two daughters, Mrs. Leo Beck, of Dubuque, and 
Jettie, at home, and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Mary Cahill, 
Mrs. Peter McKenna, and Mrs. Susie Thompson, of Dubuque, Frank, of Monticello, 
Patrick, of Bernard, two sisters and three brothers preceded her in death. The 
surviving husband and children have the deep-felt sympathy of many friends in 
the loss they have sustained. The funeral services were held at St. Patrick's 
church, Garry Owen, at 9:30 o'clock Saturday morning. Requiem High Mass was 
celebrated by Rev. Conry, who spoke words of comfort to the surviving 
relatives. Eight nephews, Leo and Frank Noonan, Vincent Driscoll, Dennis 
Dullea, Mike Cahill, Edward, Alfred and Bernard Brady were the pallbearers.
