Edgar J. Easton

Edgar J. Easton, 55, of Maquoketa, died Sunday in his home. He had been in ill 
health for a number of years. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in 
the Carson Funeral Home. The Rev. M. H. Nothdurft will officiate and burial 
will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Easton was born July 20, 1902, in Maquoketa, son of John and Katherine 
Clyde Easton. On December 24, 1925, he was married in Rock Island, Illinois to 
Camilla Sharp, who survives. For 25 years Mr. Easton was a tank and station 
agent for the Cities Service oil company in Maquoketa.

In addition to his widow, he is survived by two sons, Thomas of Maquoketa and 
Donald of Davenport; a daughter, Mrs. Milton (Mavis) Kyarsgaard of Delmar; a 
brother, Dale J. Easton of Maquoketa; a sister Mrs. Elizabeth O’Connor of 
Chicago, and three grandchildren. His parents, a brother and two sisters 
preceded him in death.
