    OBITUARY

    Charles Edward Fox was born January 25, 1862 in the state of Illinois and
came to Monmouth with his parents at the age of 18. He was married to Maggie M.
Odell, Feb. 28, 1882 at Maquoketa and died Sept. 12, 1900 of cancer of the
stomach at his home four miles south of Monmouth. He was a kind husband and
father and will be greatly missed in his home. Interment was in the Monmouth
cemetery.
