J. Gault, author of "Twenty Years Ago," or "I Wandered to the Village, Tom," and other old fashioned poems, died at his home in Wheatland. Mr. Gault was born in Jefferson County, New York in 1818. He moved to Clinton County, Iowa many years ago and began the publication of the Wheatland Spectator, which he sold to his son a couple of years ago.
