Jackson Republican, Maquoketa, Iowa, October 19, 1897

LAURA GIBSON-

Laura, daughter of Mrs. Jas. Gibson, died on Monday, October 19, of typhoid
fever, aged 13 years. The funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon from
the family residence, Rev. Dudycha officiating, after which the remains were
interred in the Andrew Cemetery, beside her sister, who preceded her about seven
weeks ago. Two more of the children are low with the same disease.
