The funeral took place Friday following, at 10:30 a.m., officiated by Rev. John Bretnall. Her remains were taken to Pleasant Hill Cemetery, three miles north of Monmouth, and there deposited by the side of seven of her children, that have long since passed away. She leaves a husband and three children, one daughter and two sons to mourn the loss of a wife and mother, who have the sympathy of many kind friends, who rendered their kindness assistance during the sickness of their best friend, the mother and wife Mrs. John Gibson came to this country with her husband in the fall of 1849 and settled on a farm three miles north of her and have resided there up to about fifteen years ago when her husband bought property in town and have resided here ever since.
