Mr. Gleason retired as usual the night before, but not appearing at the breakfast table, and not answering when called, his room was visited by the family who found the body cold in death. He had for a long time been afflicted with spasms or fits and it is supposed that in one of those he died. The deceased was a single man and a brother of Mrs. Melvin Decker of Maquoketa, in whose family he had been residing for several months.
