ZWINGLE RESIDENT DEAD

Eugene Joel Higgins passed away at his home near Zwingle Monday evening at 
5:30 o’clock. He followed the vocation of farming. He was born July 12, 1857. 
Mr. Higgins had been ailing the past year, and death was due to heart failure. 
He is survived by his wife and one son, William, at home, one daughter, Mrs. 
Alton Leahy of Imogene, Iowa and one sister, Mrs. Henry Nienstadt of 
Washington township. The funeral services were held on Thursday morning at 
nine o’clock from the residence to the Immaculate Conception church at Silvia 
Switch.
