Kloft at Bellevue, at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday, November 30, following an illness of several weeks. Mr. Kieffer had made his home here with his granddaughter, Mrs. N. Neuman, for several years and seven weeks ago went to Bellevue went to Bellevue to reside with Mrs. Kloft and family. He is survived by two sons, Henry of Buffalo, Iowa, Jake of Bellevue; three daughters, Mrs. J. N. Heier of Bellevue, Mrs. Allen Lafayette of Grand Mound, and Mrs. Byron Welch of Maquoketa; also nineteen grandchildren and fourteen great grand children. Mr. Kieffer was born in Luxemberg, Germany, November 25, 1851, where he was married, his wife succeeding him in death forty years ago. The family came to Lemars, Iowa, 39 years ago and the following year came to Jackson County, where they located at Andrew, which had been his home until several weeks ago. The funeral service will be held at 9 o'clock Friday morning at SS. Peter and Paul Church at Springbrook, and interment will be made at the Springbrook cemetery.
