PRESTON TIMES-

Mrs. Anna Kukkuck was born March 11, 1875, in Van Buren Township. She was 
christened during the fall following her birth on the 7th day of November 
confirmed in the Lutheran Church at Spragueville on Palm Sunday, April 14, 
1888, took her first communion on Easter Sunday following, April 21st and was 
married March 23, 1893. She was the loving mother of three children: Erine, 
aged 9, Otto, aged 6, and Anna, six weeks, at the time of her mother’s death. 
She had been troubled by a weak stomach during the past ten years, but not to 
an alarming extent. She was stricken March 16th by the dreadful disease known 
as appendicitis, and died Tuesday morning, March 17th, at two o’clock after an 
illness of only four days.
