Jackson Sentinel, May 22, 1884

Mallard – On Friday, May 16, 1884, of old age, Mr. Fayette Mallard, of South 
Fork township. Deceased was an octogenarian and one of the early settlers of 
this county. Many years ago he was postmaster at Buckhorn.
