The deceased was probably the oldest man in the county. He did not know how old he really was. He told a writer a few months since that he was a lad between 10 and 15 years of age at the time of the Irish Rebellion in 1798, 86 years ago. At any rate he was beween 95 and 100 years old at the time of his death. Mr. McKeggan came from Ireland with his family 53 years ago and settled in Canada. Some years later he removed to the United States and finally settled in this county in 1850. He leaves an aged wife, two sons and three daughters to mourn his loss.
